Back to the roots, when women reached the men in the work camps, walking for hours, with the basket full of food on their heads. They used to spread the cloth on the ground and sit and eat, quenching their thirst with red wine and spring water.
These actions served to characterize the way of life of the people who lived in the Abruzzo region. In the basket of wicker and olive branches intertwined, you will find Montepulciano wine, spring water, sandwiches prepared with local meats and cheeses, omelette with eggs from the chicken coop, typical sweets and seasonal fruit. An outdoor picnic to breathe the air of the past.

The experience can only be booked in conjunction with the overnight stay.

Location located in a fortified medieval village built between the mountains of Abruzzo at over 1250 meters above sea level, within the National Park Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga. The current urban configuration of the village is constituted in the middle of the Middle Ages when the phenomenon of the fortification develops: high-rise villages, surrounded by a fortified perimeter wall that still remain one of the historical elementstopographical mainly characterizing the imagination of the Italian landscape.

You will stay in rooms renovated using the original domestic organization, the exclusive use of recycled architectural material, the use of poor furniture of the Abruzzo mountains, to preserve, in the signs of suffering of the time, in the traces of an ancient experience, the deepest and most authentic soul of these places.

This experience will allow you to live a few hours in a magical place and to have lunch surrounded by nature, tasting typical products of the region.
