Here nature shows itself in all its ruthlessness and charm.

In this tour, consisting of a few people (max 8) you can venture along little-travelled and less-frequented routes, ensuring respect and silence necessary to appreciate the place even more.

PROGRAM

DAY 1

Departure from Italy for Reykjavík with scheduled flights according to the planned operational. Arrival at Keflavík International Airport, and meeting with the tour leader. Transfer to the city, hotel accommodation and free time available for a first meeting with the Icelandic capital and for the preparation of the necessary materials during the trip. Free dinner and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 2

We will begin our journey to discover Iceland, heading north to visit one of the most famous and symbolic places on the island, Þingvellir National Park.
Þingvellir National Park, a World Heritage Site - Unesco, is considered one of the most important geological wonders in the world: Here we can admire the effects of the tectonic plate movements that characterize the Earth’s crust and that surface.
The journey will then proceed along the course of the Hvita, the river that feeds the waterfalls of Hraunfossar - known for their particular structure - and the rapids of Barnafoss.  Hotel accommodation and free dinner.

DAY 3

Visit the Arctic Coast Way, passing by the houses of Torba di Glaumbær, Akureyri and the Goðafoss Falls, the famous waterfalls of the gods.
Late afternoon arrival in the area of Lake Mývatn, one of the most famous and spectacular landscapes of the entire island thanks to its incessant volcanic activity.
Hotel accommodation, free time and dinner.

DAY 4

We will start the day by reaching the town of Húsavík overlooking the Greenland Sea.  From here we will sail to make an unforgettable excursion by boat for whale watching.  We will sail aboard innovative hybrid-electric boats and glide quietly over the sea as we approach whales in their natural habitat, causing them minimal disturbance.
After the exciting activity, we will walk along the beautiful northern coast of Iceland, first in an easterly direction, and then turn south until we reach the imposing waterfalls of Dettifoss. Late afternoon return to the hotel, free dinner and overnight.

DAY 5

Today we will dedicate the morning to the discovery of the area around Lake Mývatn: it is one of the most important sites of the island for its incredible volcanic activity and its geological formations.   This is one of the most explosive volcanoes, having erupted about thirty times since the country was colonized.
After the visit around Lake Mývatn, in the afternoon a long transfer will allow us to reach the town of Egilsstaðir, where we will have the opportunity to enjoy a little relaxation in the thermal pools of the modern Vök Baths.  We will stay in the hotel and dinner free.

DAY 6

Often overlooked by visitors, the East Fjords represent the best the island has to offer. We’ll spend the whole morning visiting this area. The region boasts the sunniest climate in the country and one of the best known and most loved wildlife. This land is the only place on the island where several herds of reindeer live free and isolated.
Their sighting is not easy at all, especially during the summer season, but you should always pay attention to the landscape that flows through the window: with a little luck you could see in the distance.
In the afternoon we will continue our journey to the south, not before being granted a short break in the delightful port town of Djúpivogur.
Last stop of this long day will finally be the small fishing village of Höfn, where we will stay.   Hotel accommodation and free dinner.

DAY 7

Today the great protagonist of our day will be the Vatnajökull National Park: a white giant covering an area of about eight percent of the entire island.
Our day will begin right from the glacial lagoon of Jökulsárlón, with the visit of the most iconic and surreal location of the entire trip: Blue icebergs break away from the glacial front and float in the cold waters of the lagoon to blend with the impetuous waters of the Atlantic Ocean, thus creating unique and unforgettable contrasts. In the afternoon we will continue our journey west to the small town of Skaftafell.   Overnight in the Klaustur area and free dinner.

DAY 8

The day will begin with a visit to the so-called black sand beach of Vík, the famous black sand beach of Reynisfjara, famous for the characteristic basalt columns that overlook the beach and for its rock stacks rising from the sea. A small road will allow us to reach the top of the cliff, where with a little luck we will have the opportunity to observe the puffin of the sea.
We will then continue our journey west with a visit to the small village of Skógar, famous for its elegant waterfall of Skógafoss: one of the highest in all of Iceland.   After lunch, stop at the Seljalandsfoss waterfall, where - if safety conditions allow - we can make an unforgettable walk behind it.  Night in the hotel in the Hella area and free dinner.

DAY 9

In the morning of today we will continue the journey to discover Iceland exploring one of the most famous and iconic itineraries of the island: the famous Golden Circle.
This important tourist route includes three beautiful places a short distance from one another: the Þingvellir National Park, the waterfall of Gullfoss and the geothermal area of Geysir. After the visit we will head to the last stop of our tour, the city of Reykjavík, where we will arrive in the early afternoon.  Here we will have free time to visit the capital of Iceland and admire some of its landmarks, such as the Lutheran church of Hallgrímskirkja and Lake Tjörnin.  Hotel accommodation and free dinner.

DAY 10

Departure early in the morning in the direction of Keflavík for the transfer to the airport and return to Italy according to the operating plan.
