Musical improvisation is a fascinating and difficult art that springs from the delicate balance between technical mastery and intuition, between control and surrender, between presence to oneself and inner listening. After a long time of musical research, Irina Solinas has achieved a perfect mastery in this field coming to perform regularly with musicians of the highest level. PROGRAM

Irina Solinas is an eclectic and enterprising musician, graduated from the "G. Verdi" Conservatory in Milan. Chosen as the first cello of the Italian Youth Orchestra, she has performed in the most important national and international theatres under the guidance of illustrious masters, including Sir Jeffrey Tate and Riccardo Muti. The path of composer and interpreter of music, sees the creation of valuable collaborations in harmony between the arts: the rich production of music for the theater with Stefano de Luca (Piccolo Teatro di Milano) for dance with Emanuela Tagliavia (Accademia Teatro alla Scala in Milan) and for cinema with Matteo Curallo (Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera) in the successful collaboration between SkyArte and the Italian Ministry of Culture. Irina Solinas is the creator and artistic director of MAME - Mediterranean Ambassadors Music Experience, an international network of excellence in music along the new Vie della Seta. The unique combination of classical education and avant-garde experiences, has led her to be among the leading promoters of the international music movement known as contemporary cultural crossover as Ambassador of Italian Music Culture abroad. Finally, Irina is recognized to be among the best musicians of her generation internationally in the rare and difficult art of improvisation. She regularly collaborates with the world’s greatest artists in this field, including Sandeep Das, one of the world’s top Indian tabla performers, winner of the prestigious 2018 Grammy Award.
